Dr Nkechi graduated from Abia State University Faculty of Medicine, Nigeria . She is very committed to giving back which has made her volunteer with Horizon international medical missions, a nonprofit organization to provide free medical services to rural community dwellers who could not afford health care services. Common diseases treated include diarrhea, hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections, malaria etc. She has equally helped to provide free medical supplies like contraceptives, medications, tampons to rural community dwellers while educating patients on preventive medicine . She equally trained with the University of Portharcourt, worked with Umusia community health center, Living word mission hospital , Okey Nwokolo weight management clinic, Mercy hospital and Horizon International Medical Missions all in Nigeria plus United States. She has done a couple of publications and researched a lot in Family medicine. She is married to Obi nwabugwu.
